The MagFlux® 7100 comes with PFTE liner, which works really well for flow measurements in wastewater and water with corrosive chemicals. The MagFlux® 7100 is also perfect for applications where the liquid has high temperatures. And if you need a remotely mounted converter and display, this measuring unit is an obvious choice.
The output signal of the instrument is RS485. Here, the converter can be mounted up to 1000 m from the sensor - so it is very practical even with larger sewage pumping facilities. In addition, a MagFlux® Display can show data from, and operate up to, four different sensors.
The MagFlux® 7100 has excellent precision designed to eliminate water loss. This is also the reason why the flowmeter is widely used in the waterworks’ network and in the distribution to endusers. In addition, the MagFlux® is NIST certified, which means that the flow meter can be used for invoicing to the enduser or between suppliers.
When two suppliers exchange water, it is convenient that MagFlux® can measure flow in both directions. This means that MagFlux® provides a net volume. Even in humid environments, the sensor works fine, and if you want the converter to be mounted on the sensor, you can either IP68 secure it or choose to mount the converter remotely with up to 1000 m of cable.
The sensor is designed with three electrodes and has 3-point calibration. This provides a higher precision with fluctuations of just +/- 0.25% and speed-measurement all the way down to 0.2 m/s.
In many countries, MagFlux® is used to identify leaks in pipes by logging the night flow. Thereby, you can spot fluctuations in consumption and assess whether a leak has occurred. In addition, a MagFlux® display can operate up to four different converters.
MagFlux® can be used for measuring incoming and outgoing water and even for wastewater in sludge tanks. The flowmeter thus provides stable and accurate measurements of water entering the tanks or of water discharged via a filled pipe system.
The sensor has three built-in electrodes and comes with a 3-point calibration, which gives a very accurate measurement with fluctuations of only 0.25% at as low a speed as 0.2 m/s. With a NIST certification, the measuring instrument ensures that the registered volume can be used for documentation or invoicing.
The 4-20mA signal transmits data for database use and the output of the converter is RS485. The converter can be mounted with up to 1000 m of cable from the sensor, which makes MagFlux® practical for larger aquaculture facilities. When using the Gel potting kit, the device is IP68 certified.
As MJK flowmeters are produced in robust designs, you can even consider the MagFlux® 7100 for accurate measurements on ships with fish in seawater. Here you can furthermore avoid rust on the electrodes by using hastelloy electrodes, which are very resistant, even in difficult environments.
MagFlux® 7100 is recommended for installations with high temperatures, especially corrosive media or water with various chemicals. The reason for this is that the flowmeter's electrodes are supplied in either stainless steel, hastelloy, titanium or platinum, which ensures measurements on many different installations.
In applications where the sensors are installed at a short distance, a MagFlux® display can operate up to four different converters and sensors in a local network. In addition, MagFlux® MID certification makes it possible to use the total counters for documentation and invoicing purposes.
