Hydrostatic level measurement is one of the most common methods of measuring water levels. The major advantage of this measuring principle is high reliability and precision in particular. In open tanks and containers, as well as in open channels and gutters, level transmitters can thus be used for many different tasks.

Expert™ 3400D is developed for use in waterworks, wastewater treatment plants and industrial installations. The special design, without sharp edges, means that fewer particles will adhere to the housing or membrane, making the transmitter sanitary and resistant. The built-in ModBus protocol also means that, while the device is in operation, you can easily get readings and calibrate the device directly from your laptop.

Due to the robust design, the Expert™ 3400D has a long life-span, and the transmitter provides accurate measurements year after year. It is a good idea to use it together with MJK Chatter™ Data logger for e.g. environmental monitoring, overflows and other important logging tasks. Expert™ 3400D can also be used with open channel flowmeter, so you can measure and record flow via a user-friendly set-up that provides an easily accessible overview of recent flows.

The contents of treatment plant tanks will often quickly cause wear, rust and corrosion on the submerged level transmitters. But the Expert™ 3400D is designed for a long life-span under exactly these harsh conditions and with a minimal need for manual maintenance.

For example, Expert™ 3400D has a PUR-insulated cable with a very high breaking strength. Therefore, do not worry about sludge or slurry from the wastewater destroying the submersible unit. The house itself is built of PPS material. This material is also specially developed to withstand harsh environments, so that the life-span is extended.

With Expert™ 3400D, you therefore get a reliable and professional solution for level measurement, which ensures that you get accurate and credible readings - year after year. The built-in ModBus output also makes it easy to connect the Expert™ 3400D with most standard applications. This allows you to have a flexible and user-friendly solution for your level measurements.

Expert™ 3400D is specially developed in close collaboration with one of the world's largest aquaculture companies. The task was clearly defined: Can you deliver the high quality we know from Expert™ 3400 and with ModBus RS485 signal?

This has resulted in a level transmitter that focuses on quality, ease of use and life-span. That way, you get stable and credible measurements, which is crucial when working with water.

The built-in ModBus communication puts the sensor in direct contact with the PLC or Chatter Datalogger. It reduces your investment costs for additional equipment when compared to analog signal measurements that need to subsequently be converted.

At the same time, the stable transmitter can easily be calibrated to a new 0-point, just as the measuring range can be configured individually on-site. This gives you a flexible solution. The special PPS material making up the house ensures a long service life and stable measurements with a measurement accuracy fluctuating by just +/- 0.1%!

Together, this offers you the perfect hydrostatic level meter that guarantees you credible water measurements - even in salt water or other harsh environments.
